Georgia Inventing Uses Combination of Talents to Get a Patent.
Joseph Dingle does not look like the movie stereotype of an inventor, always out in the garage tinkering on the latest “great idea.”
The 45-year-old retired Army first sergeant and grandfather is neat and stylish. There are no messy contraptions cluttering his immaculate home and Warner Robins instead of a lab coat Dingle favors the classic look of suspenders and a matching tie.
But Dingle does have organization, perseverance and passion - important characteristics for an inventor because it is a long and expensive process to patent an invention and find a manufacturer for it.
And most importantly Dingle had a good idea, which his love of suspenders led him to.
It started with an everyday problem. His wife and daughters were getting tired of having to sew buttons in his pants for the suspenders.
