Black voters align with the Democrats against Bush
At the heart of downtown Atlanta, a majority black city, has a thriving middle class, a pinch of Afro-Americans in the tens of supporters filled a room decorated in Georgia Capitol last week ‘ hear Senator John Edwards (NC). A few days earlier, Senator John F. Kerry (Mass.), more than 1000 living in a town hall meeting in the town of Buckhead section, and except for the leaders of the dozen black, was sitting behind him on stage, the audience was mostly white.
But that does not mean that black voters as Antonio Bolton are not interested in Tuesday’s democratic presidential primary school. Bolton, 40, father of two children, was himself lucky to have a well-paid work, “he said in anger against President Bush him the responsibility of the current federal deficit and the Land of slipping into war against Iraq. He studied by the Democratic candidate debates on television, read newspapers and surf the Internet. He decided to vote for Kerry.
“He is the candidate most democratic and we have, and we must ensure that the Republicans there,” said Bolton, lives in East Point section of Atlanta.
With little prodding by the two main candidates, voters were black Democratic Party’s Quest to reduce the White House this year. The turnout of black voters in countries which are the primary colors in possession of 10 to 20 percent higher than 1992, the last time the party had a real contest for the nomination by the Joint Economic and Political Studies, Washington-based liberal think tank.
