ACC is 1-2-3 in women’s basketball poll
For the first time since November 2004, one conference owns all three of the top spots in a regular-season USA TODAY/ESPN women’s basketball coaches’ poll. Duke moved into the No. 3 spot in the poll released Tuesday, behind fellow Atlantic Coast Conference schools Maryland and North Carolina, which have been 1-2 all season. Oklahoma, which had been No. 3 all season, slipped to seventh this week after losing at home to No. 8 Ohio State. Before this week, the Southeastern Conference was the last league to be 1-2-3 in the rankings. The Tennessee Lady Vols led the way that week, followed by LSU and Georgia.
